My name is Roni Shapiro and I’m the retired owner of Healthy Gourmet To-Go.  
I spent 30 years focused on my life’s work rooted in compassion, intention, and excellence—keeping animals off peoples’ plates through a highly regarded vegan café and meal delivery company in Saugerties, NY.  

I am transferring that same philosophy into a deeply personal offering.  Sit Boo-Boo is my new company and I’m providing exceptional, one-on-one care for gentle, affectionate, well-socialized dogs (and cats) in my serene home in the woods just outside Woodstock, NY.  

Care is intentionally limited, calm and individualized, with daily adventures at each dog’s own pace, along with professional-style photos and thoughtful text updates that keep clients closely connected throughout each stay.  It’s a luxury Air BnB for your precious pup (or cat).

This is Ariel, my rescued donkey daughter, who I adopted and co-parent with her wonderful baby-daddy and dear friend, John. Ariel was bought and saved from slaughter at a kill auction by a wonderful equine sanctuary, Peaceful Acres Horses, run by Nanci Beryl.  Ariel lives in Saugerties with another donkey and is the light of my life.  She is fond of pups, so sometimes I’ll bring willing guests to visit her.
